Tequila has fame written all over its face. It’s the national drink of Mexico, and the renowned stardom of the Margarita only adds to the mix. Besides the Margarita, tequila is served in many other cocktails, and some even say that it has medical properties. That’s not true, but nobody is stopping you from experimenting.
How many ways are there to drink tequila? You might be surprised. Try to count them, if the tequila hasn’t gotten to you yet.

Lick, sip, suck -
Tequila Shot
As gracefully as possible, lick salt off your hand, then down it with your tequila shot. The tricky part? Trying to keep a straight face after you down your shot and suck on the lime.

Sangrita
There are two shots involved here: a shot of tequila and a shot of the sangrita (a mix of tomato juice, orange juice, chile, and salt). Sangrita is traditionally blended using tomatoes, orange juice, fresh limejuice, onions, salt and hot chili peppers. Born in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, sangrita was created to quench the fire of homemade tequila and quickly became a Mexican tradition. Typically used as a tequila chaser, sangrita allows the person to appreciate the premium tequila while sipping alternately from each of the glasses.

Liquor
Tequila is a complex liquor, so some prefer to slowly sip on it. When sipped on in this manner, it is traditionally served at room temperature, but don’t worry, it is acceptable to serve it ice cold.
